When I reached forty which they say “Life Begins” I realized many things. It opened my eyes to which I should put priorities on. The thing is I should be setting my priorities on the most valuable and important things in my life. This includes choosing what job should be in and how many quality hours I should be spending with my family. I began to decide, choose and plan a different pattern of life from what I used to have. I decided to resign and gave up my job to which I’m employed for more than 16 years; the company which has become my source of income for more than a decade seems lesser now in value.
I braved myself to be stronger in getting on with my plan. A plan that will give me some risk as my stable job will soon be just a history and memory, the office friends that I had will just be friends through emails and texts, I know I’m giving up my career but I also know in my heart that God will provide for my needs no matter what. This plan has passed through prayers and signs and I know God is with me through all this things.
I’m setting my priorities now and I’m finally giving my family and my church the first priorities of my life now. With my freelance writing and online jobs I know we can make it. God will be my strength and guide through all this. HE is good all the time.
